The Fall 2021 New York Bridal Fashion Week has successfully come and gone. Despite not being able to meet with designers in person and watch live fashion shows, we thoroughly enjoyed connecting with everyone virtually – whether it was a Zoom presentation with Ines Di Santo and her daughter Veronica or watching beautifully produced fashion videos from WONA Concept and Galia Lahav. When gathering inspiration for their Fall 2021 bridal couture collections, it was interesting to see how designers responded to the current world by taking one of two routes: They either embraced the concept of minimalism and simplicity (which ties in seamlessly with micro weddings and destination elopements), or chose to create a world of fantasy and escapism with all-out glamour and embellishments. From ethereal fabrics to modern shapes and construction, here are some of our Fall 2021 bridal couture favorites of the season.

Our New York Bridal Fashion Week experience started with exciting news from Galia Lahav, as the fashion house unveiled their first line of bridal shoes – the perfect complement to their Fall 2021 “Dancing Queen” wedding gown collection.

Zuhair Murad also released stunning images of wedding gowns that were inspired by golden fields of wheat. (The wedding veil alone is an absolute work of art.)

BERTA’s Fall 2021 bridal couture collection was filled with plunging necklines and curve-hugging lace; and Ines Di Santo’s wedding gowns included both princess-worthy ballgowns and seductive silhouettes with gorgeously crafted bodices.

Also bringing focus to the craftsmanship behind wedding veils was Elie Saab, who balanced an exquisitely embroidered veil with timeless wedding gown silhouettes. (An ideal pick for intimate weddings in luxe settings like a French chateau or an English manor in the countryside.)

Details like delicate embroidery and fabric choices can make a wedding dress stand out, and Eisen Stein’s “Miracle” bridal couture collection is simply dreamy. Naeem Khan was inspired by Alice in Wonderland when designing his latest gowns, and Neta Dover presented a collection of sexy, yet sophisticated wedding dresses in seductive silhouettes.

The Yolancris “Touch” collection, which we loved seeing during Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, continues to be the epitome of fashion and global consciousness; and WONA Concept wowed us with their new “MUSE” collection, which includes timeless ballgowns with a sensual edge.

Finally, we love when designers embrace their heritage and a brand’s roots. The new Blue Willow 2021 collection from Anne Barge couldn’t be more fitting for brides who want a classic, American-made wedding dress with exceptional tailoring; New York Bridal Fashion Week wouldn’t be complete without an elegant new collection from Amsale; and for her Fall 2021 bridal couture collection, Francesca Miranda was inspired by the women who have shaped her world and career.
