PLANNING A WEDDING WITH SARA JUDITH EVENTS
If a couple came across Sara Judith Events, they might assume that they’d be working with a wedding planner named Sara Judith. In reality, Kaylen Davidson is the founder of Sara Judith Events – and Sara Judith is a gorgeous, black angus cow who was rescued as a calf. “She has brought so much joy into my life that I only found it fitting to name my company, whose purpose is to bring joy to others, after her,” says Kaylen. We asked the destination wedding planner to share more about her work and what couples can look forward to when planning a wedding with Sara Judith Events.
GO: How would you describe your wedding planning style?
A: My wedding planning style would best be described as heartfelt. I approach every client’s day with care and I am stickler for organization and timing. I understand the importance placed on this day for my clients and their families, and my goal is that everyone feels like a guest at their event.
GO: What are some of your favorite aspects of planning a couple’s big day?
A: I love getting to witness love! Hearing the love stories of my clients and getting to know them is such an honor. My clients always end up feeling like family. As for my favorite aspect of the actual wedding day; when the couple walks back down the aisle after saying I Do! The joy on their faces is what makes my job the best job in the world!
GO: What is your opinion on wedding trends vs classic décor?
A: When it comes to trends vs classic decor, my opinion is to always stick to what you are drawn to. Trends are a great way to get inspiration, and the classics you can never go wrong! There are endless possibilities of what to do on your special day and it is so easy to get away from your true taste. This is YOUR wedding day; it should be what sparks joy for you and your partner.
GO: How much time should a couple dedicate to planning their wedding?
A: While a typical timeline for planning a wedding is between 12-15 months, I have planned weddings as quickly as 2 months.
GO: What wedding details are often overlooked when planning a wedding and designing the décor?
A: The detail that many of my couples forget about, but are so happy they end up doing, is a guest book. This is a keepsake that your guests create for you on your special day, leaving you both love letters to read and look back on for years to come.
GO: Aside from having a large budget, what transforms a “standard” wedding into a memorable, luxury event?
A: Personalization! The great thing is that this can be achieved on any budget! Incorporating details that speak to your guests, such as personalized notes at their seat, will make your wedding memorable!
GO: What can a couple expect when working with you as their wedding planner?
A: My biggest pet peeve is lack of communication from vendors, so if we are working together, you can expect that communication with me is always my top priority.
GO: Do you have any advice for couples who are going through the wedding planning process?
A: Remember to have fun! This is all about coming together with your friends and family to celebrate your love story! Don’t let yourselves get overwhelmed with contracts, vendor interviews and all of the little details. Hire a planner to take care of all of that! 🙂
