GOWS: If you had to describe the property in three words, what would they be?
A: Elegant, Artistic, Intimate.
GOWS: How far in advance does a couple need to reserve a wedding date?
A: We recommend that couples plan at least one year in advance for the best availability.
GOWS: Are onsite wedding planners available for the wedding process?
A: We provide a ceremony specific coordinator to assist with ceremonies held on property and an Event Services Manager to assist with your menu selections. We do recommend to all couples that they have their own wedding planner or day of coordinator.
GOWS: Are accommodations and buyouts available? What is the capacity limit?
A: We do offer contracted room blocks to couples and buyouts are possible. Mansion on Forsyth Park has a combination of spaces that can accommodate intimate celebrations through 220 person mingling receptions.
GOWS: What spaces are available for ceremonies and receptions?
A: Traditionally, couples celebrating a ceremony with us would host it in the Marble Garden Courtyard. As you walk through the dark wood and glass double doors, you will find yourself on a white marble tiled courtyard. Overhead there is a stunning white, billowing tent covering the courtyard with an exquisite chandelier hanging from the center of the tent and you are surrounded by ivy covered walls.
The cocktail hour would take place in our beautiful Marble Garden Courtyard and Pre-Function. From the Marble Garden Courtyard, you turn to your left and a second set of doors will bring you into a corridor that is lined with a collection of hats spanning a century. This space, our Pre-Function, that opens into the entrance of our Viennese Ballroom is perfect for a bar and mingling. It is an area with a dark wood floor below, crystal chandelier above and surrounded by original artwork on the walls.
Following the cocktail hour, guests will be invited through a second set of double doors and into the Viennese Ballroom for the reception. This is an encounter that cannot be accurately described-it must be experienced. When you walk into the room it glows from the lowered lights on the Swarovski Crystal Chandeliers and reflects from the gold leafed columns.
GOWS: Food is such an important element at a wedding; tell me about your menu customization?
A: Our menu is very diverse and has an a la carte design. The planning begins by learning a bit about the couple's tastes and overall dream for their wedding. Often this will guide us to a particular menu style in planning and from there, we will begin to narrow to the final menu. Couples do have an opportunity to visit and taste their selections prior to the wedding.
