A: Iconic, amazing and majestic
GOWS: How far in advance does a couple need to reserve a wedding date?
A: We recommend that you book at least one year in advance. We will confirm a wedding reservation as far out as 2 years. We do have those couples that are captured in the moment and decide to get married while they are here on vacation and we will do whatever we can to make that happen for them.
GOWS: Are onsite wedding planners available for the wedding process?
A: Absolutely. We have four very qualified and seasoned wedding specialists on property at Grand Wailea who are here to create the experience of a lifetime for each and every one of our wedding couples from start to finish. We provide full services to include handling all details from a guest room block, all details and enhancements to the wedding and designing the perfect culinary offerings for each of your private events.
GOWS: Are accommodations and buyouts available? What is the capacity limit?
A: Yes, we are happy to arrange for guestroom accommodations at both Grand Wailea and at Ho’olei, our luxury villas across from Grand Wailea. A minimum of 10 rooms is required per night and special rates are quoted based on availability. A complete hotel buyout of all 780 guest rooms and suites is rare but the wedding specialist can provide more details if the couple is seriously considering this.
GOWS: What spaces are available for ceremonies and receptions?
A: Grand Wailea offers a number of different venues where ceremonies can be held ranging from our beautiful Wailea Seaside Chapel with stained glass walls, which are able to accommodate up to 100 guests, the charming and colorful Chapel Gardens fronting the chapel to a location on the beach.
For private Receptions—the Chapel Overlook, with views onto the Chapel and Pacific Ocean beyond, and the Lagoon Overlook, with views onto a Tropical Garden. Both venues provide an open air setting for Wedding Receptions and Dinners up to 70 guests comfortably.
Our Grand Dining Room, offers a panoramic view of the Reflection Fountains and the Pacific Ocean, allows for couples looking for a Grand space able to accommodate up to 100 guests.
Chapel Lawn, with views onto Wailea Beach and the Chapel, and Molokini Gardens, with expansive views onto Wailea Beach and the Pacific Ocean, provide spectacular backdrops couples searching for locations that can accommodate for Ceremony and Receptions.
Our largest indoor reception venue is our Haleakala Ballroom which can be separated in five different sections depending on the size of the event. For couples seeking a more intimate reception location, one of our smaller banquet rooms offer both an outdoor and indoor setting and accented by a cascading waterfall and tranquil Koi ponds.

GOWS: Food is such an important element at a wedding; tell me about your menu customization?
A: Although we offer complete banquet menus, this is only the beginning. Our culinary team will happily meet one on one with the wedding couple to help customize a menu and answer any questions. We will offer a tasting prior to the event. Our pastry Chef will be able to create the wedding cake that the couple is envisioning based on flavors and design.
