Sarah Lilly and Beau Vallis met the same way as many of today’s couples – by swiping right on Tinder. “After some back and forth flirting, we set a date to meet,” Sarah shares. “When we met in person, I felt as if I had already known him for years. We had tons of common interests and goals, which I think made us fall deeper in love.”
Five years later, Beau popped the question in the most romantic way. Every year, the couple goes ice skating at Rockefeller Center with Beau’s family, so Sarah wasn’t expecting an engagement when they arrived at the rink. “They cleared the ice after our skate, he took me to the middle, expressed his love, and asked me to marry him,” she describes. “All, while photographers and my family from Miami looked onward. Little did I know it would be my entire family that flew up for the big event! It was absolutely spectacular ending the night at Bar 65 at the top of Rockefeller Center. The night was pure magic.”

Fortunately for the couple, Beau’s family is in the wedding entertainment business. As such, his parents understood the ins and outs of the planning process and helped along the way. Celebrity photographer, KT Merry, is also a friend of the couple, so their entertainment and photography needs were already set.
“My parents were really involved as well by helping me narrow down my decisions and making everything come to life,” Sarah adds. “Acqualina (Jessica) was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, answering every question I had, scheduling meetings, and running the event flawlessly. I am a naturally calm person, so on the wedding day I was just feeling 100% excitement. I remember thinking about how lucky I was to find my soulmate and have all my family and friends around to celebrate such a special day.”
“I went into my wedding planning with a clear picture of what I wanted and what kind of mood I wanted to set,” she continues. “I wanted romance and fairytale vibes to be seen as you entered the tent. Lots of low lighting, candelabras, light pink and grey tones, and gold accents. Beau and I often visit Acqualina for dinner, so picking the menu was an easy task – especially with the help of the Head Chef. From personalized cloth napkins to having Beau’s dad Jimmy Vali play on the drums, the night was full of special touches and memories that will never be forgotten.”
After the reception, guests enjoyed an afterparty filled with dancing, finger food, and music. The celebration ended with a post-wedding brunch the next morning, consisting of Acqualina’s delectable offerings like Cajun grilled fish and pastries.
“The night after the wedding, Beau and I jetted off to Mexico, landing ourselves at the best hotel I have ever been to – Rosewood Mayakoba,” says Sarah. “We enjoyed many nights soaking in the fact that we are now husband and wife. Drinking tequila and eating all our favorite Mexican foods, all while lounging on the beach. I can say that looking back, I have never been happier and more excited for what this new chapter of life has to bring!”
