ESPN reporter Jenn Brown had just ended a long-term relationship and was ready to date again. Friend-of-a-friend and actor Wes Chatham, was supposed to be the guy to introduce her around to other guys, but instead he decided to keep her for himself.

On their first date, the confirmed bachelor began wondering how long he would have to wait to ask Jenn to marry him.

A year later, while Wes was shooting a TV pilot in Chicago for the FX Network, he flew Jenn in from California to visit and surprised her by taking her to see her favorite band, Journey, in concert. During her favorite song, “Faithfully,” Wes got down on one knee and proposed. Jenn’s happy “yes” came amidst a coincidental barrage of confetti and fireworks from the stage.

The outdoor wedding ceremony and reception for 200 guests was held next to the romantic ruins of the Barnsley Gardens in Georgia. As Jenn started to walk down the aisle, her party planner whispered in her ear to focus on Wes and no one else. “I probably would have looked around and smiled at people, but this made that moment so special and intimate, even with everyone around us,” remembers Jenn.

Mock concert tickets with names of Journey songs directing guests to their tables were a personal touch. During the evening, 15 hours of dance lessons paid off when the bride and groom performed the famous final number from the movie “Dirty Dancing.” Fittingly, to end a perfect night of memorable moments, the band played “Faithfully,” and Wes and Jenn danced to their song.

A honeymoon getaway at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on the island of Nevis included a romantic dinner on the beach, couple’s massage, two-day Vespa rental and a hike in the rainforest.
