We first met at the recruiting station as we both were trying to get into the Army. We did not say hello and simply thought, “There is another Asian in the office!” We joined the Army and went to training at different locations, but ironically both got stationed in Fort Bragg.
Shortly after, we spotted one another at the cafeteria, but still did not speak. We just thought to ourselves, “I know that person.”

During the same week, we met again, but this time in church, where we finally spoke! The conversation resulted in us dating for three years and eventually getting married.
