An Elegant Bohemian Wedding At Pronghorn Resort in Bend, Oregon

Whitney Stassi and Michael Ruano were just 11-years-old when they met in the 7^th grade. Even during those days of innocence – when overalls, GAP sweatshirts, pooka shell necklaces, and gold braces were the hottest trends – Whitney’s instincts kicked in.

“I knew the second I laid eyes on him that I needed to meet him,” she recalls. “We dated for ten years after that. We grew up together and experienced life through each other’s eyes.”

Five years later, after rekindling their childhood romance, the couple knew this time around would be forever. Michael proposed to Whitney at a beautiful winery, with her father there to witness the moment. His presence made Michael so nervous, that he didn’t realize he was kneeling in gravel when there was grass right next to him.

“We thought the most exciting life event was marriage, but now we are expecting our first baby, around the time of our first wedding anniversary,” Whitney shares. “Talk about the world’s sweetest gift!
