For Jenavi Correa, it was “love at first sight” when she first met Kyle Williams through mutual friends at a harbor front restaurant in Hawaii. Their relationship eventually led them to the top of Whistler Mountain in Canada, one of their favorite snow spots, when Kyle surprised Jenavi with a hike through deep powder.
“It was supposed to be a fun powder ride down the mountain, but I was complaining the whole time about how tired I was and didn’t want to hike to the top,” Jenavi describes. “After lots of coaxing and help from Kyle, I made it. We sat there for a while until Kyle thought I was happy again, so I would say ‘yes’. He popped the question and told me he wanted to be with me forever.”
“IT WAS EVERYTHING WE IMAGINED, AND MORE.” JENAVI CORREA
During the wedding planning process, the couple decided they wanted a small and intimate wedding with their immediate family. A destination wedding in Moorea was the perfect option. “We wanted to keep things very simple, but also try to make it super special for those who were visiting Moorea for the first time,” says Jenavi.
On the day of the wedding, the bride and groom were greeted by a gorgeous sunny day in the South Pacific. Photographer, Virginie, was especially helpful during the moments leading up to the ceremony. “Virginie was amazing at calming my nerves before the ceremony, and it was fun joking around,” the bride says. “I think all the emotions of happiness hit Kyle and I when we saw each other and realized we were going to commit to each other for the rest of our lives.”
The bride and groom’s nuptials took place exactly how they had envisioned–with their loved ones, surrounded by the ambiance of a Tahitian garden, fragrant florals, Tahitian dancers, wonderful food, and even a special canoe entrance. “We were so happy to be able to celebrate with our closest family, and our two sons got to see mommy and daddy get married,” says Jenavi. “It was everything we imagined, and more.”
