    JANE MCGRAW & CORY ADLER

February 17, 2018. Palm Springs, California

Jane McGraw and Cory Adler “matched” five years ago in January of 2014. “Both of us were new to the world of app dating and, understandably, nervous to make the transition from messaging to meeting, from phone time to face time,” Jane recalls. “Our first date was February 19th at a Lakers game. Cory wined and dined me in the San Manuel club section, setting the bar high for any and all future dates.”

After hitting it off instantly, Jane snuck away to the bathroom to text her sister that Cory might be “the one.” “I knew I liked this guy and could even look beyond the fact that he was a Trojan, despite me being a Notre Dame alum. A few days later, we had our first kiss at a silent disco – one of our favorite fun facts.”

“THE GOAL WAS JUST TO THROW ONE HELL OF A PARTY, AND THAT WE DID.”

By the end of that year, Cory decided to propose. The couple was on vacation with Jane’s family in the Bahamas; and on December 29, Cory got down on one knee and popped the question on an abandoned dock as the sun was setting.

Three years of engagement bliss later, Jane and Cory tied the knot on the four-year anniversary of their first date. “The planning process was one that I did not relish,” Jane admits. “I was tickled over the idea of seating charts and shot lists – unless of course, those shots were tequila. But Cory and I knew that, in the end, we just wanted a day that was fun. The goal was just to throw one hell of a party, and that we did.”

Guests enjoyed a wonderful celebration filled with delectable food, great music, and incredible craft cocktails that made even the most timid attendees try their luck on the dance floor. Personal touches also included a photobooth bus, sweets gazebo, wishing well, and a magician that wowed everyone throughout the cocktail hour. After the reception, a 1961 Corvette whisked the newlyweds away to the after party at ARRIVE.

“One of the best – and funniest – moments from our big day was the surprise reading I arranged where two of our friends reenacted our Tinder conversation, time stamps and all,” says the bride. “Ceremonies can often be repetitive in the ‘love is patient, love is kind’ type of way, and I wanted to make ours one to remember.

Everyone was in stitches by the end with my Roman-Catholic grandfather asking if the Book of Tinder was from the New Testament. It set the tone for a fun evening full of laughs, some tears, and lots of tequila.”

When the wedding was over, Jane and Corey snuck away for a spontaneous trip to London and Paris; and they’re planning on a “Honeymoon 2.0” on the Amalfi Coast later this year.
