A Mystical Forest Inspired Wedding at Faena in Miami Beach, Florida

Becca Milen first met Jesse Coren seven years ago, when she was still in college – being four years older, Jesse was on campus as MSU for work.

“The night we met, Jesse called one of his best friends that night and told him that he met his wife,” Becca shares. “Jesse proposed in a hotel (Loews Regency) right near our apartment in a beautiful suite. I work in the travel industry, so he actually planned this with my boss to get me up there on a Tuesday evening. 

I thought I was going up there for a work project, and there he was in the suite decorated with red roses, champagne, and candles. Our family and friends were waiting for us as well to celebrate after.”

Since Becca enjoys party planning, the wedding planning process was an enjoyable one. She worked closely with her planner, Sara Renee, and went over all the details to make sure everything was covered. 

By the time the big day arrived, the bride was so full of excitement and adrenaline that she woke up that morning at 6 a.m. Along with her 15 bridesmaids, she got ready in a suite at the glamorous Faena hotel in Miami Beach before making her way down the aisle.

“It was really the most prefect day,” Becca describes. “I got the most emotional when I was walking down the aisle. It’s really a once in a lifetime feeling.”

For the décor, guests were surrounded by a mystical forest of greenery, along with two large tree tables with hanging orchids. “Xquisite Events did an unbelievable job making my vision come to life,” the bride adds. “My Chuppah was everything I dreamed of and more!”

The couple wanted to make sure there was plenty of food for their guests, so cocktail hour included four food stations – dim sum, sushi, pasta, and tacos – plus passed appetizers such as caviar, lamb chops, and truffle mac and cheese bites. 

To make the guest experience even more memorable, there was a surprise performance by music artists QUINN XCII, Chelsea Cutler, Jeremy Zucker and AYOKAY, who are all managed by Jesse. DJ Politik also showed up for the afterparty, which kept everyone dancing all night.

“Right after our wedding, we went to St. Barths for our mini-moon and stayed at Le Sereno hotel,” says Becca. “St. Barths is a magical island; we rented a boat one day and went to a private beach, which was definitely a highlight. 

We had planned to go to Hong Kong, Bali, and Nihi Sumba Island in June, but unfortunately had to cancel due to COVID. We were planning on staying at the Rosewood Hong Kong, Four Seasons Ubud, Amankila, Alila Uluwatu and Nihi Sumba Island. Hopefully, we can reschedule for some time next year!”
