Melissa Kainneranart was enjoying Sunday brunch with her family at a local restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia when a handsome young man who worked there quietly stopped her mother. That man was Issac Kwong and, after telling Melissa’s mother how beautiful her daughter was, she replied with, “See you next time,” and headed out the door.
Over the course of the next few visits, Issac scheduled special reservations at his family’s restaurant for Melissa and her family, preparing special goodies for her mother to take home. Eventually, conversation began outside the restaurant, marking the beginning of a very special courtship.
IT ONLY TOOK A FEW DATES FOR ISSAC TO KNOW THAT MELISSA WAS THE ONE.
It only took a few dates for Issac to know that Melissa was “the one.” Her sweet, caring, and vibrant soul inspired him to go after his dreams of a life together with her; so, he planned a meaningful proposal at Lake Lanier Islands Resort, where the couple loved to spend time together every year.
Melissa and Issac’s love and commitment to each other was so strong that they chose to have a private courthouse ceremony within months of their engagement. Afterwards, Melissa expressed interest in a traditional wedding ceremony and reception. Even though Issac was indifferent to the idea, he knew it would mean the world to his wife, so the planning process was soon underway.
It turned out to be Issac who meticulously researched and planned every detail of the wedding, including finding their dream venue, wedding planner, florist, and photographer. Four Seasons Resort Orlando was the perfect fit, along with Michele Butler Events, Fairbanks Florist, and Cricket’s Photo and Cinema.
The wedding celebration was intimate, yet grand, beginning with a traditional afternoon Chinese tea ceremony. Melissa was dressed in red and gold, while Issac opted for a modern fashion twist with a pair of Yeezy’s.
For the evening ceremony and reception, the groom chose a Prada suit and the bride wore two wedding dresses throughout the night. They were perfectly suited for the chic, white wedding that was drenched in cascading florals and lush centerpieces. White fabric flowed throughout the room, and gold accents provided just the right amount of sparkle. Guests dined on lobster and filet mignon, followed by a night of dancing on a custom designed dance floor. The celebration was a fairytale experience from beginning to end, with Moet Chandon welcome boxes, handwritten vows, Ladurée macaron party favors, and magical Disney sparklers.
Issac and Melissa are currently planning their honeymoon to Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand, and are excited for their next journey together.
