A Forest-Inspired Wonderland Wedding at Fisher Island Club in Fisher Island, Florida

Seven years ago, Natalia and her friends decided to escape NYC for a weekend in Miami. While on a boat, Natalia met Adam through a mutual friend. “That same day, Adam told his friend he would marry me someday,” Natalia says. “We were only acquaintances for many years, then started dating on January 17, 2015.”

Two years later, the couple found themselves in Paris for a spontaneously romantic week. 

With a year to put together a Fisher Island wedding, Adam and Natalia managed to keep the wedding planning process smooth and well-organized. For the bride, one of her most memorable experiences was purchasing a couture wedding dress she saw during Reem Acra’s Fall 2018 runway show. 

“Emailing back and forth with her staff, I was told that the gown was not for sale and how the designer likes to keep at least one couture gown for her archives,” Natalia describes. “Going into the appointment, I knew I wanted only that dress. Shortly after refusing to try any other on, 

I had met the designer and a sudden respect and fascination sparked between us. She took me to a whole separate suite and agreed to sell me her one-of-a-kind creation. Shortly after, we sketched out the veil together. The whole process was so magical, and I felt like a princess.” 

When it came time for the bride to wear her dream dress, Fisher Island was transformed into a green, forest-inspired wonderland. Tables were covered with moss, black candles, and white accent flowers, guests mingled throughout the whimsical ambiance, and surprise dinnertime performances by Matteo Bocelli and the Gypsy Kings made Natalia and Adam’s big day even more epic.

“For our honeymoon, we will wait until the summer,” Natalia says. “That way we can both take off a whole month and escape the Miami heat. Bora Bora, the Maldives, and Fiji are just some of our options.”
