    ROCHELLE TORGMAN AND BENJAMIN MATLIN

AUGUST 10, 2013 IN NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Running in her cap and gown across the National Mall in DC, Rochelle quickly grabbed a seat next to a friendly, yet unfamiliar face. She knew she was entering the real world, but little did she know, she was sitting next to her future husband. A few years later, they reconnected in New York.

Their first date quickly became a second and third. After three years and what felt like a New York City minute, Rochelle and Benjamin were planning their dream wedding.

"AFTER THREE YEARS AND WHAT FELT LIKE A NEW YORK CITY MINUTE, ROCHELLE AND BENJAMIN WERE PLANNING THEIR DREAM WEDDING."

They got married on August 10, 2013 in New York. Staying true to her roots, she wore a sultry lace gown designed by an Israeli-designer, Inbal Dror. The reception took place at Gotham Hall, a historical New York landmark built in the 1920's.

The venue boasted domed ceilings, marble flooring and inscribed columns. To add to the beauty of the location, sheer white voile emerged from the oval lighting truss in the ceiling. Cocktail hour captured their mixed heritage with Moroccan inspired hues and a custom caviar ice sculpture created by Shintaro Okamoto Studio.

After the ceremony, guests were escorted down candlelit stairs to the reception where designer David Beahm brought romance to life with a room bursting with white orchids, gladiolas and soft roses.

The Erik Marshall band kept guests on the dance floor through the night. As a sweet farewell, guests were handed mini 'Baked by Melissa' cupcakes with an insignia "M" sticker that stood for Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Matlin.

For their honeymoon, the newlyweds traveled to Marbella, Spain, where they spent time swimming, laying out in the sun, eating local cuisine, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
