A Classic Black-Tie Wedding At Harvard Club of New York City in New York

Britney Ziegler and Sean Jacobus met during the winter of 2011, on a cold night in New York City’s financial district. “Sean will say that I picked him up, but he tried to take me home,” Britney amuses. “I declined and accepted his invitation for dinner the following week. We have been together ever since!”

Fast forward into their relationship, and the couple found themselves spending a hot summer’s day in Paris. Originally, Sean had planned on proposing to Britney along the Seine River right before dinner. Britney, however, was running late and had no interest in going to the Seine.

While at dinner with their closest friends, Sean was keeping a calm and cool façade while secretly trying to figure out the best spot to pop the question once dinner was finished.

Improvising, he suggested that it would be a great idea to take a group photo together at the Louvre. After dinner, everyone took a long walk through the streets of Paris to the left bank. There, Sean stopped to buy four bottles of champagne, as well as some band-aids for Britney’s feet.  

Eventually, they made their way over to the Louvre just as the sun was slowly setting over the City of Lights. It was then that Britney found out there was no group photo planned. The rest is history.
