A Chic and Elegant All-White Wedding at 620 Loft and Garden
As a bride and groom deeply rooted in the wedding industry, Michelle and Nayef Badaan have a unique perspective when it comes to their wedding experience. The couple’s love story even began at The Legacy Castle in New Jersey – a popular wedding venue where they met and coordinated countless weddings together. Naturally, when it came time to plan their own wedding celebration, the couple wanted something that felt special and uniquely theirs. What followed, was an intimate gathering infused with a chic and elegant vibe.
“We genuinely believe that smaller, intimate weddings foster more meaningful connections, making the experience all the more special.”
A Chic and Elegant Wedding at 620 Loft and Garden
Michelle and Nayef began planning their wedding in January 2024, starting with finding a venue that would “break the mold of a typical ballroom” and be intimate enough for fewer than 100 guests.
“This quest took us to New York City,” Michelle explains, “where we hoped to find the perfect backdrop for our celebration. In April, we discovered 620 Loft and Garden, and with just one date left – August 3, 2024 – it felt like fate smiling down on us.”
“We quickly secured our favorite vendors,” she continues, “who felt more like family than just professionals: Premier Events by Reema for florals, LJDJs for music, and Aly Kyler for photography. With only five months to plan, we set to work, envisioning an elegant rooftop dinner overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Our dream materialized with two long tables adorned with cascading florals featuring orchids, anemones, and calla lilies, all illuminated by a sea of candles.”
A week before the wedding, however, Mother Nature decided to throw the couple a curveball with a forecast of scattered rain. Without a backup plan for weather mishaps, it was a stressful and daunting moment of the planning process.
“But Reema, our florist, embraced the challenge,” says Michelle. “She transformed the indoor space into a stunning all-white oasis. With all-white carpeting, flowing drapes, long rectangular tables, and cozy white seating, she created an atmosphere that was both chic and elegant. Meanwhile, the outdoors became a breathtaking rooftop bar area, also draped in white, offering a perfect mingling spot with views of the city and St. Patrick's Cathedral.”
The Wedding Day
When the wedding day arrived and the guests were welcomed to 620 Loft and Garden, everyone was wowed by the chic, elegant, all-white atmosphere that had come to fruition. The couple couldn’t have asked for a better time with their closest friends and family.
“We genuinely believe that smaller, intimate weddings foster more meaningful connections, making the experience all the more special,” shares the bride. “Having spent years in the wedding industry, experiencing our own wedding allowed us to see things from a different perspective. We gained a deeper understanding of the stress and emotional rollercoaster that couples face. We learned that everything happens for a reason, and having a strong team by your side truly makes all the difference. In the end, it’s essential to go with the flow and savor every moment because the day truly does fly by.”
