    KALEY CUOCO & KARL COOK

June 30, 2018. San Mateo County, California

No “Big Bang”—Just A Romantic, Ethereal, Gatsby-Style Wedding in a Rustic Setting.

Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook’s journey to the altar was filled with love and laughter, as observed by millions of fans following along via social media.

Kaley, star of The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant, first met Karl, a professional equestrian, at a horse show and the two began dating in March 2016. After nearly two years together, Karl proposed on Kaley’s birthday in November 2017, which took place over an intimate dinner at the couple’s home—complete with a custom teardrop diamond engagement ring by Nadis Diamonds Inc.

"KALEY CUOCO AND KARL COOK’S JOURNEY TO THE ALTAR WAS FILLED WITH LOVE AND LAUGHTER"

“He is my perfect match,” Kaley told People magazine shortly after the proposal. “He lets me wake up in the morning and say, ‘I want to go and rescue rabbits.’ And he’s like, ‘All right, let’s get a coffee and let’s go.’ And that is him. We are the same, our views are the same, our morals are the same.”

The couple’s mutual love of horses and animals was one of the most important factors during the planning process, with Kaley relaying her ideas to wedding planner and event designer, Lauren Tatum Events.

She also envisioned a romantic, ethereal, Gatsby-style wedding, which created a unique and stylish contrast to the rustic setting of Pomponio Ranch.

Rather than conducting the wedding ceremony first, guests were welcomed and escorted into the barn, which was filled with Kaley and Karl’s favorite horses, their dogs and a mini-horse. A live musician performed as drinks and hors d’oeuvres were passed for a lively cocktail hour. Guests were then ushered out momentarily, before being invited back into the barn for the unveiling of an incredible ceremony space.

The bride made her way down the aisle in a custom Reem Acra gown and cape. She and the groom exchanged personal vows they had written, and an oversized floral horseshoe provided a whimsical backdrop that foreshadowed the rest of the décor throughout the evening. The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s sister, Brianna, who made everyone laugh with jokes about taking an online course so she could marry them.

For the reception, a magnificent two-story tent was set up with multiple rooms offering activities for guests to explore. The first story included a wine room, serving wines from nearby wineries, as well as a cigar room with lounge chairs. Another room was dedicated to ice sculptures with a luge serving whiskey and pictures from the 1920s on display. There was also a beauty room featuring areas for foot massages and pedicures, a perfume bar, mirrors and makeup for touchups, and a men’s lounge with deodorant and cologne—all of which guests were welcome to take home. Topped off with a wedding menu of farm-totable dishes, gourmet burgers, fries and a dessert bar, it was truly a spectacular treat for everyone in attendance.

During the second half of the festivities, Kaley changed into her “second look,” which was a show-stopping white lace jumpsuit by Tadashi Shoji. The evening concluded with one last surprise experience. As the newlyweds and their guests exited the tent, they found themselves stepping into a 1920s-inspired fairgrounds complete with popcorn, tacos, fire breathers and stilts.

The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary together, for which Kaley posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Happy one-year anniversary to my incredible other half! I still can’t believe you’re mine and I’m never letting you go!”
