    LINDSAY MIGLIACCIO & DOMINIC PIPERNO

August 14, 2015 in Allentown, New Jersey

It was a brisk February evening when Dominic Piperno arrived at Lindsay Migliaccio’s apartment. She opened the door to find a handsome, clean-shaven man standing before her, and he nervously told her she looked beautiful in her floral dress. As they headed to the car, Lindsay was surprised when Dominic followed her to the passenger side, opened the car door, and waited for her to sit down. “Never before had I experienced such charm from a true gentleman,” she says. “We drove into Philadelphia for what was one of the best nights of my life.”

Two and a half years later, the couple drove back to Philadelphia the exact same way. Dominic is a chef in the city, so they would frequent numerous restaurants to enjoy the wine and cuisine. It was early in December, the city was in the Christmas spirit, and the two stopped at a few of their favorite spots before continuing on to Rittenhouse Square.

There, they sat at a table by the window of a neighborhood bistro, and ordered champagne and a cheese board. As it began to grow dark, the lights in the square twinkled and created a magical ambiance. Dominic then mentioned he wanted to stop at one more place before heading home.

The couple was walking through the park, which was streamed with snowflake lights, and Dominic stopped in front of the Christmas tree at the center of the square.

“The next few minutes were a blur of mumbled ‘I love yous,’ but it all became clear when a red box appeared in his hand,” Lindsay describes. “He dropped to one knee and proposed. All I could hear at the time was the applause and cheers of strangers passing by as they witness our moment.”

Nine months after their engagement, Lindsay at Dominic vowed their love to each other in what many of their guests describe as a fairytale wedding. “Our love story can be described as magical; but when it comes down to what is truly important, we are best friends,” says Lindsay. “We’re soul mates. And yes, he continues to open the car door for me.”
