A Seaside Destination Wedding in Mykonos Greece

For Kara Lee and Anthony Hancock, what started out as a holiday romance transformed into the perfect relationship. The two met in 2005 in Marbella, Spain and quickly became friends. Two years later, they took their relationship to the next level and have now been an item for more than eight years.

With Kara being from London and Anthony being from Liverpool, they traveled up and down England to see each other – sometimes, going weeks and months without being able to spend time together. Still, the couple persisted and Kara eventually moved to Liverpool. “I think we always knew we were meant to be,” she says. “When you know it’s worth it, you put in the effort.”

Having a destination wedding in Mykonos, Greece surpassed Kara and Anthony’s wildest dreams. The wedding planning process was led by wedding planner, Katerina from Mood Effects, and it was a truly magical experience when 120 of the couple’s closest friends and family traveled to Mykonos for a weeklong celebration.

The ceremony and reception took place at a wonderful seaside location. “We wanted the wedding décor to be a part of the whole scenery,” the bride describes. “The colors we selected blended nicely with the sand and sea, as well as the details of the venue.”

After the ceremony, live musical entertainment set a blissful mood for a party that lasted until the early hours of the morning. “Anthony and I have been on an amazing journey up to this point and are looking forward to spending forever together,” says Kara.
