    CAMILLE FIRESTONE & DEVON KENNARD

Paradise Valley, Arizona. February 29, 2020

For Devon Kennard, May 10, 2014 was a significant date for two reasons. Not only did the New York Giants make his career dreams come true by drafting him into the NFL – he also met his future wife, Camille Firestone.

“I did not know Devon then, but was invited by our mutual friend to his draft party,” says Camille. At the party, Devon introduced himself and spent the night asking all of his friends who I was and that he wanted to talk to me more.

He left for New York the next day and we never exchanged numbers or talked after that. Fast forward a year and a half later, and Devon is back in Arizona visiting family; and we happen to run into each other again. This time, Devon approached me immediately and made sure not to let me get away again.”

“WE WERE SO ANXIOUS TO CELEBRATE WITH OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT WE JOINED THEM FOR HAPPY HOUR!”

A few years later, the couple was at their baby shower, celebrating the anticipated arrival of their daughter. Amid the preparations, Devon managed to pull off a surprise proposal.

“I was opening all of the baby shower presents, and he pulled out one last gift,” describes Camille. “I opened up the box filled with Reese’s, my pregnancy favorite, not realizing there was a ring box hidden in the middle. He got down on one knee and made my dreams come true in front of all of our family and closest friends.”

Despite living in Detroit during football season while planning a destination wedding in Arizona, both Camille and Devon had an easy and enjoyable wedding planning experience. After enlisting the help of BTS Event Management as their planner, everything else was “a breeze,” and BTS executed the couple’s vision well beyond their expectations.

“We wanted our wedding and reception to be modern, yet classic in every aspect – from décor to food to music,” says the bride. “One of the most important goals was for our guests and family to have fun each part of the night. Our guests were welcomed to the ceremony by a live violinist playing R&B favorites. We were so anxious to celebrate with our family and friends that we joined them for happy hour!

The reception was the perfect ambiance and was a party from the moment everyone walked through the door. It was so much of a party that the DJ had to strictly request everyone to take a seat in order for dinner to be served. It was such a memorable celebration that, two months later, all of our friends and family are still talking about it!”
