    JASMINE CARTER & JAMES JONES

January 16, 2016 in Yorba Linda, California

Jasmine Carter and James Jones first met in the weight room at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus. Eventually, that encounter led to a romantic January proposal at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Spa, overlooking New York City.

The wedding planning process was a tiring one for the couple, as they were challenged with planning a destination wedding in California while being in NYC. Fortunately, Jasmine and James had a fantastic wedding planner to help them along the way. “We are just super thankful to have Holly guide us through it all,” says Jasmine. “We do not know where we would be without her. We learned easily that if we tackled a little bit of the wedding planning every day, things went exceptionally smoother.” Flowers by Cina, the floral designer, was also monumental in bringing the couple’s wedding vision to life.

IT WASN’T UNTIL THE CEREMONY THAT NERVES AND EMOTIONS SET IN, AND TEARS STARTED FLOWING ONCE THE COUPLE SAW EACH OTHER.

Getting ready on the day of the wedding was a breeze for the bride and groom. It wasn’t until the ceremony that nerves and emotions set in, and tears started flowing once the couple saw each other. As the night progressed, each moment was better than the last–one of the highlights being the reveal of the reception space. Crisp florals and lighting created a stunning ambiance, and Rebecca Yale and Boffo Video were there to capture its beauty.

Celebrating their nuptials on the dance floor, the newlyweds worked up appetites that were satiated with decadent treats such as fried Oreos, donuts, and fried Twix. Guests also partied the night away with Elevated Pulse Productions playing favorite hits from the 90’s. With everyone dancing and enjoying great conversation, the wedding felt more like a loving family reunion towards the end of the night.

“If we could describe our wedding day in one word, it would be ‘loved’,” says Jasmine. “Just having our family and friends share that special moment with us was amazing.”
