    HEATHER BILYEU AND JOSH ALTMAN

APRIL 2, 2016 IN ASPEN, COLORADO

Most couples have photographs as mementos of their early relationship. Heather Bilyeu and Josh Altman not only have their entire relationship recorded, but it’s been shared with millions of people via their television show, Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.

“The first time we ever met was on the TV show,” Heather says. “The first words we ever spoke to each other were on TV; our first date was on TV. We get to relive those awkward, fun moments all the time.” Having met on the set of an open house for the show, it was only fitting that Josh proposed at another listing.

Claiming he needed to stop by the $18-million Beverly Hills home on their way to dinner, Josh brought Heather up to the stunning rooftop deck overlooking the city. It was there that he got down on one knee and asked Heather to marry him. Completely shocked, she said, “Yes.” She was even more shocked to discover that Josh had flown in her entire family for an engagement celebration.

All, of course, captured on film. “It’s super special for us to have all those moments captured with our friends and family on the show, and one day we can share them with our children,” Heather says. They decided to hold their intimate, 84-person ceremony and reception in Aspen, where they visit often and consider a second home.

Heather had always dreamed of a winter wonderland wedding, and the St. Regis Aspen’s courtyard looking up at the mountains was exactly what she’d envisioned. “Aspen was the perfect place to get married, and I’m so happy we got to share it with our friends and family,” she says. For the ceremony at the St. Regis, Heather wore a custom gown by Australian designer Nektaria.

With more than 6,500 hand-sewn pearls and beads and Italian and French lace overlay, the dress was a showstopper. Equally stunning was the rustic, Aspen chic-themed ceremony décor, complete with dramatic chuppah and a gorgeous branch and white flower-lined aisle. After, they rode in a horse and carriage to the nearby Caribou Club for the reception, where guests ate, drank, danced and gambled (a blackjack table was set up as a nod to Heather’s Las Vegas hometown) into the night.

“Every moment was incredible,” Josh says, “but my favorite has to be when we were under the chuppah sharing our vows with each other and our family and friends with Aspen Mountain as the backdrop. It was surreal; a day I will always remember.” Four months after their wedding, the couple went to the south of France for their honeymoon.

A week before they left, however, they got a surprise. “I found out I was pregnant a week before we left. We apparently didn’t waste any time!” Heather says. “I ended up getting morning sickness halfway through, but it was still all absolutely incredible.” > Written by Allyson Reedy
