    NORA LEVY & ARON CHARLES

June 24, 2017 in New York, New York

It was February of 2015 in New York City when Nora was one semester away from receiving her master’s degree. Aron Charles had just moved to the Big Apple after finishing med school, and the two met through a mutual friend. Over dinner, Nora Levy joked that it must be destiny, as Aron’s name is hers spelled backward, but neither suspected they were starting the first chapter of their love story.

That May, after a series of random encounters with their friends, Aron and Nora decided to give dating a shot. With Aron having just ended a serious relationship and Nora moving to Miami in a couple months, both were convinced it wouldn’t work out – but at least it’d be a fun fling for the summer.

THE WEDDING WAS FILLED WITH HANGING LANTERNS, LUSH TREES, AND CANDLELIGHT.

During a 4th of July BBQ, Nora discovered that Aron loves to cook, and he found out that she loves finding the city’s hidden gems over pickleback shots at the bar. They also share a passion for great drinks and Frank Sinatra, which led to nights out at jazz bars, speakeasies, and getting lost together in the streets of NYC. Before they knew it, the two were dating long-distance, flying back and forth to spend time together every other weekend. As weeks turned into months and months turned into a year, Aron knew he had found the one.

On October 1, 2016, Aron invited Nora on a mountain biking outing while in Miami. Although it’s not her favorite activity, she obliged, and they ended up at a beautiful beach. There, Aron got down on one knee and proposed. After Nora’s ecstatic “Yes,” their best friends appeared with champagne and a jet ski, and everyone toasted together before taking the jet ski back to Nora’s parents’ house to celebrate.

During the wedding planning process, the couple decided to get married in NYC, where it all started. Nora’s mother stepped in to help with the details, along with J. Group and David Beahm, and an enchanted garden celebration at the breathtaking Cunard building was in the works.

The wedding was filled with hanging lanterns, lush trees, and candlelight. To indulge the bride and groom’s sweet tooth, an entire hallway of New York’s iconic desserts was set up which included Crack Pie from Milk Bar, cakes from Lady M, cheesecake from Juniors, cronuts from Dominique Ansel, and more.

Positive vibes filled the room as the newlyweds danced the night away with their friends and family. At the end of the evening, with sore feet and happy hearts, Nora and Aron took to the streets of NYC once more with their photographer and videographer in tow, capturing every footstep. They ended up in Times Square, where it was oddly peaceful during those early morning hours. A man played a lovely tune on a battered piano, and the couple danced to the music as the sun rose above them – an epic beginning to a lifetime together.
