    TINA FARIBA AND AMIR KHATAMI

April 2, 2016 in Valley Center, California

Tina Fariba and Amir Khatami met through mutual friends at a birthday party, and spent their first date sharing laughs, stories, and a nice bottle of wine. “We were excited to see each other again,” Tina shares. “Amir was living up in Anaheim Hills when we first met, and I was in San Diego. Amir commuted daily so we could be together, and then moved to San Diego.”

Later, surrounded by their loved ones at Tina’s parents’ home, Amir popped the question. Soon afterwards, the wedding planning process began. Shiva, Tina’s best friend and the mastermind behind Uniquely Yours Events, had already started putting together an elegant yet rustic affair. Once they had met with the rest of the wedding vendors and fine-tuned the details, the wedding vision was put into action.

THEIR FIRST DANCE WAS TO “BIA BARGARD,” WHICH AMIR WOULD SING TO TINA WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED DATING.

The wedding day was greeted by sunshine, as an assortment of beautiful flowers and décor was coming together. “I got ready with my mom and sisters, and saw my groom for the first time on a bridge as our families looked on,” describes the bride. “The ceremony was extra special and personal, because it was orchestrated by my sister, Marjon. We sat together as the new husband and wife, facing all our friends and family as we were joined in holy matrimony.”

Married under a sparkling chandelier set in the branches of a luscious tree, the entire day was like a fairytale dream come true. After enjoying some post-ceremony cocktails, Tina and Amir made their grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. Khatami in a 7,000-square foot tent with hanging chandeliers and suspended centerpieces.

Their first dance was to “Bia Bargard,” which Amir would sing to Tina when they first started dating. The music brought all the guests to their feet for a reception filled with dancing, sparklers, and mixes from DJ Al.

“The overall feeling as the night came to a close, was nothing other than happiness,” says Tina. “The memory of our most wonderful day will never fade. Looking back, there is truly not a single thing we would change.”
