A Classic and Elegant Wedding At San Francisco City Hall in San Francisco, California

In 2008, Edwin Glaeser moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. He practiced improv classes by day, took the mic by night, and worked as a server at an upscale restaurant and nightclub in Hollywood to financially stay afloat. Being young, driven, newly sober, and “somewhat arrogant,” Eddie became a socialite who could easily flood a room with laughter.

As a graduate school student, Jenna Baker had also recently moved to Los Angeles and ended up taking a job at the same restaurant where Eddie worked. Sparks flew when they met during her first day of training, but the timing wasn’t right.

As a close friendship grew, Jenna eventually saw past Eddie’s overt charm and humor, realizing he was “a gentleman with a strong moral code and a heart of gold.” When the two were finally single at the same time, Eddie decided to set aside his fear of rejection and confess his feelings for her – a romance that the couple’s close friends were ecstatic about.

Four years later, Eddie planned a long, romantic European getaway for the two of them. While on their private balcony suite at the Peninsula Hotel in Paris, he got down on one knee and proposed at sunset – a diamond ring glistening from the lights of the Eiffel Tower.

The wedding planning process began with choosing the right wedding destination and venue. Eddie grew up just outside San Francisco and the couple had many happy memories there together, so they decided the Bay Area would be the perfect location. The design and architecture of San Francisco City Hall was exactly what they wanted, as it would provide a gorgeous backdrop for their wedding vision – an evening filled with romance, elegant details, and timeless elements. The bride chose a color palette of champagne, deep crimson rose, blush and white. Vintage props like ring boxes from the early-1900s, vintage stamps, and a typewriter complemented the venue’s architecture, and large bouquets framed the grand stairway.

For dinner, a divine five-course meal was served. Guests chose from a selection of entrees, including filet mignon, seabass, and squash with wild mushroom risotto. To this day, Jenna and Eddie still receive compliments on the food and décor.

Prior to their big day, the bride and groom worked hard to practice their first dance, taking ballroom lessons from Los Angeles dance instructor, Amy Lawrence. Even though the choreography wasn’t perfectly executed and the bride lost one of her earrings when the groom dipped her at the end, they managed to perform two lifts, and that first spin around the dance floor was their favorite moment of the evening.

By the end of the night, the bride’s feet were sore, but she didn’t want to stop dancing. The newlyweds knew that their marriage was personal, but their wedding day was a once-in-a-lifetime celebration with their loved ones – a night neither of them wanted to end. With such a fantastic team of vendors pulling off an amazing wedding at San Francisco City Hall, Jenna and Eddie enjoyed a perfect day that they will cherish forever.
