    SAVANNA LEGG AND MICHAEL MOTHNER

May 30, 2015 in Los Angeles, California

In September of 2011, Michael Mothner and six of his friends boarded a Mexico-bound cruise ship chartered by promoters, and filled with DJs and party people. Savanna Legg boarded that same boat as well, accompanied by her own group of friends.

Neither of the two had any mutual friends between them, nor were they looking for love. Within hours of meeting each other aboard the ship, however, Michael was taken by Savanna’s beauty, laughter, confidence, independence and intelligence. Savanna was drawn to Michael’s passion for life, sense of humor, and intellectual curiosity – plus, they both shared a mutual love of food, drink, adventure, and living life to the fullest.

“THEIR VISION FOR THE WEDDING WAS FOR IT TO BE A GENUINE CELEBRATION, FILLED WITH THE PEOPLE THEY LOVE, AND HAVING THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES.”

Within months after the boat docked, Savanna had relocated to Los Angeles (where Michael called “home”) from San Diego. On Christmas morning of 2013, Michael proposed with a surprise note, which led to Savanna finding an engagement ring tucked in a stocking. Later that day, the couple enjoyed courtside seats at the annual Christmas Day Lakers game; and the next morning, Michael whisked them off to Paris to celebrate their engagement.

During the wedding planning process, Savanna and Michael were unencumbered by outside influences, allowing them to truly create their perfect wedding day. Their vision for the wedding was for it to be a genuine celebration, filled with the people they love, and having the time of their lives. Although a formal affair was in order, neither of them wanted it to be too serious. The couple wanted the décor, flowers and lighting to be elegant and timeless, but nothing ostentatious. The venue had to have, both, expansive and private grounds. The food had to be fabulous, the drinks had to be free-flowing, the music had to be amazing, and there had to be surprises around every corner. Ultimately, the special day delivered on a grand scale.

Hotel Bel Air was selected as the wedding venue, proving to be the perfect choice. Linda Howard was also brought onboard as the wedding planner, facilitating the festivities and allowing the bride and groom to enjoy the entire day with their family and friends. With 150 guests, the wedding ceremony set a festive tone, and the reception space had a magical ambiance with everyone drinking and dancing the night away.

Just when guests thought the night had ended, they were ushered from the tented reception to the ballroom, where “Club M” was just getting started for an epic after party. From start to finish, the day and night was a fairytale wedding of perfect proportions.
