    BIANCA BENTLEY AND JAMES STONE

March 18, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee

Bianca Bentley and James Stone are high school sweethearts. “It is safe to say that I knew James would be my husband the first time I saw him,” Bianca says. “We were both in an advanced biology course his senior year and my junior year. I saw him in a room made up of quiet kids, class clowns, and some of the smartest kids in our school. James stood out to me because he was so comfortable in that room full of different types of people; he could make anyone smile, and he had a humbleness that shined through even when he was center of attention.”

At the beginning of their relationship, Bianca made it clear that she just wanted to be friends. After all, James would be going to college, and she didn’t want to share him with his female co-eds. James, however, insisted he only had eyes for her.

“He would drive eight hours a day to come home for a kiss, and return for practice the next day,” Bianca describes. “When I was still looking for a college, James assured me that no matter where I went, he would tell anyone who asked that I was his girl. Like any other high school couple, we were disgustingly obsessed with one another.”

The young couple spent most of their dates indulging in comfort food favorites like buffalo wings, but Bianca recalls their first “fancy date” at a small local restaurant called Firefly. Although they were shocked by their $60 bill, that date represented a point of growth and new experiences.

“James took me back to that place the day he proposed,” Bianca adds. “We had finished our meal, and on our way out he pulled me close to him, kissed me, and got on one knee. He took out my dream ring and asked me to be his wife. I said yes, then ran around the parking lot screaming.”

A few months later, the wedding planning process began. “I knew I wanted a young, vibrant, creative brown girl to bring the magic to my wedding day,” Bianca explains. “The day I met Paige, I knew we were meant for each other. She was stylish, eclectic, professional, and beyond talented. She also rocks a ‘fro that is undeniably crush-worthy.”

By the end of all the planning and hard work, the bride and groom received the exact wedding they had envisioned. “James and I were spiraled in love,” says the bride. “Our vows to one another settled any of the nervousness we may have been feeling. We were meant to be, our day was meant to happen, and Paige Brown was meant to make it beautiful.”
