    MELODY & BENNY ROBLES

AUGUST 17, 2019. WALNUT GROVE, CA

A Princess Wedding with a Las Vegas Vibe at Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, California

The saying, “You don’t have to look for love” couldn’t be any truer when it comes to Melody and Benny Robles, because they found it in the most unexpected place – a Las Vegas nightclub. Benny was hosting a bachelor party, and that first encounter with Melody was all it took. Three months later, Benny invited Melody to move to Florida.

Later that year, after Melody’s big move, Benny decided to take them to New York. On the day they arrived in NYC, they went on a stroll through Central Park and stopped at Bethea Fountain for a selfie. Just as the couple took the picture, music started playing; and little did Melody know she was about to get a marriage proposal of a lifetime, when a 300-person flash mob erupted into a few meaningful songs including, “I think I want to marry you”.

“IMAGINE A PRINCESS WEDDING, COMBINED WITH A LAS VEGAS NIGHTCLUB VIBE, PLUS A BROADWAY SHOW.”

After choosing a wedding date, the couple decided to host their big day at The Grand Island Mansion. It had the traditional look for a princess wedding, while still having enough flexibility to showcase the couple’s “party side.” Conveniently, it was also set in California where the bride’s family lived.

The planning process was fun and never stressful. Benny and Melody simply wanted a party – a celebration where no one was checking their watches to see when the right time to leave was. Imagine a princess wedding, combined with a Las Vegas nightclub vibe, plus a Broadway show.

The bride had a custom made dress designed by Galia Lahav, and there were flowers everywhere – all the makings of a traditional wedding. However, tradition met cutting edge on August 17th. Amongst the flowers and lace were aerial performers, tap dancers from Absinthe, a prominent show in Vegas, cigar rolling stations, a hip hop violinist, magicians, and the icing on the cake was a ten-minute fireworks display.

The bride and groom truly hoped their wedding planner had as much fun planning it as they did. The wedding went off without a hitch and truly embodied everything the couple was about: Love, family, spontaneity, and fun.

After the celebration, the newlyweds left for a 30-day honeymoon with stops in Paris, Mykonos, Santorini, Rome, Positano, and Venice. Choosing a favorite destination was nearly impossible, but Italy became their favorite country because, just like their wedding, it also embodied their love for life.
