BEACHFRONT INDULGENCE AT EAU PALM BEACH RESORT & SPA
The best wedding venues allow couples and their guests to enjoy full, multi-day wedding experiences together in one beautiful location. Situated on seven oceanfront acres of private beach, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spaoffers just that – a pristine and luxurious hideaway with the Atlantic Ocean as its “front yard.” With a multitude of dining options, event spaces, and a five-star spa, Eau Palm Beach is where guests can enjoy a wedding weekend filled with beachfront indulgence without ever having to leave the resort.
Throughout its history, Eau Palm Beach has had roots in Florida’s Golden Age of glamour. During the 1950’s through the 1970’s, the property served as a private beach club called “La Coquille,” which was frequented by the Vanderbilt family, Rockefellers, and the Rat Pack. Today, the resort maintains that same sense of character and luxury, fortified by its stunning architecture, design, and oceanfront location.
“Eau Palm Beach is modern, playful, and indulgent,” says Stacie Hallinan, Director of Catering and Certified Wedding Consultant. “This is where travelers can take off their pearls, get into their bathing suits, and just enjoy the property.”
One of the “musts” of Eau Palm Beach is visiting Eau Spa for some pre and post-wedding pampering. Brides and bridesmaids will love the HydraFacial, which gives an instant glow that lasts for several days. The Champagne and Caviar Couples Journey is an indulgent five-hour experience unlike any other; and wedding guests can spoil themselves with a signature massage and foot treatment – a blissful treat after hours of dancing in heels.
When planning a wedding weekend, Stacie’s approach to piecing together the perfect itinerary is to present guests with different “chapters” to their experience. “We want to offer different activities day after day and have an element of surprise,” she explains. “My ideal recipe for a wedding weekend would start without a welcome cabana. Friday night would be spent outdoors at Breeze Ocean Kitchen, where you can’t get any closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Cocktails and light bites would set the tone for the wedding weekend, and it doesn’t take away from the wedding day.”
For the wedding ceremony, the oceanfront courtyard may be closed down, allowing couples to say “I do” with towering palm trees on either side, framing the ocean. A lavish reception would then be held in the 10,000-square-foot ballroom with Austrian crystal chandeliers, which Stacie describes as “grand, yet approachable elegance.” Of course, no Palm Beach wedding would be complete without an epic afterparty, which is where Angle comes into play. This modern restaurant can be transformed into a private club atmosphere, complete with a DJ and dance floor. Finally, before returning home, newlyweds and their guests can enjoy one last celebration together with Sunday brunch inside the Ocean Ballroom, which features both indoor and outdoor spaces.
To give weddings a sense of place, the perfect menu can create a memorable connection to Palm Beach. This, of course, means featuring plenty of locally caught seafood. Stacie recommends dishes like local tacos, shrimp, Florida grouper, and a poke station for the welcome party. To complement the regional fare, Eau’s catering team can also create customized specialties to reflect a couple’s personality and tastes – think Philly cheesesteaks and customized “Happy Meals” with a couple’s monogram on the boxes.
Most recently, Eau Palm Beach has curated a “Petite Soiree” wedding package for more intimate gatherings. With this package, couples will enjoy an overnight stay in an oceanfront Lanai Terrace Suite, along with an oceanfront ceremony and cocktail location, and a private dinner for ten guests at Angle Restaurant.
“We want guests to feel like Eau Palm Beach is their home away from home,” Stacie shares. “It’s their wedding headquarters. Because we’re an independently-owned property, we have the freedom to craft unique events that meet my client’s expectations. Having an oceanfront location also helps.”
