“WONÁ” in Ukrainian means “she” – a term that perfectly reflects the mission and inspiration behind WONA Concept wedding dresses. The Ukrainian brand is dedicated to women, and it’s wonderful to see how this humble private atelier has been steadily growing in popularity among stylish brides worldwide since it opened in 2009. We asked head designer, Ilona, and the WONA Concept team to share more about the latest 2021 “Muse” Collection and their approach to creating these gorgeous bridal designs. (And we can’t wait to see next year’s brides walking down the aisle in a stunning Muse Collection wedding dress!)
GO: What is your favorite dress in this collection and why?
A: Muse Gown is my absolute favourite one from this collection, since it is combining trendy glitter fabrics and perfectly fitting for most body types.
GO: What did you like about designing this collection?
A: This collection is tender and simple at the same time and this is make it unique
GO: Where did you draw inspiration from for this season?
A: This collection was truly inspired by stylish brides and outdoor weddings.
GO: What trends are you looking forward to seeing on brides?
A: The fashion world is always very unpredictable, so let’s wait for the next season!
GO: Do you offer custom designs, and if so, what is the process?
A: Yes, of course! Each bride can share her ideas and we will try to make them real.
GO: Who and what inspires you as a designer?
A: Wedding dresses are a huge part of my life, so I am trying to implement all my ideas in real life. I am inspired by the smiles of our beautiful brides every day!
GO: How would you sum up your personal design style?
A: Trendy, unique, and personalized at the same time.
GO: Who is your fashion icon and why?
A: I am in love with Oscar De La Renta and many other fashion icons.
