When 2020 led to the cancellation and postponement of countless weddings around the world, Yael Eisenberg and Heli Kalkstein of Eisen Stein used that time to create a bridal collection that embodied optimism and resilience. The Fall 2021 “Miracle” bridal collection is one filled with romance and femininity, but also a beautiful symbol of the time and circumstances under which it was born.
During the first COVID-19 lockdown, Yael sketched out a simple floral drawing that laid the foundation for the entire Miracle bridal collection. Connected to the optimistic essence of her artwork, she used that floral sketch as inspiration for designing a Fall 2021 bridal collection adorned with fabrics that mirrored the same vibrant spirit. The Miracle gowns feature the most delicate and exquisitely crafted floral embellishments – adornments that are symbolic of the beauty around us that can be appreciated, no matter how unpredictable life may become.
“Bringing this vision to life turned out to be a more difficult quest than expected with factories and embroidery suppliers closed during the quarantine,” says the Eisen Stein design duo. “But we never lost hope, and small miracles manifested in a myriad of ways throughout the process. Life gifted us in many ways – from manufacturers returning to work just in time, to fabrics that were produced and delivered at the very last moment. In the end, we succeeded to shoot the collection just two days before the second lockdown!”
Fortunately for 2021 brides-to-be, the Eisen Stein Fall 2021 Miracle collection was ready for its debut during New York’s virtual bridal fashion week. The final bridal collection is a symphony of romantic gowns with floral ornaments, ethereal laces, 3D appliques, embroidered tulles, and ruffled tiers.
“Through this global challenge, it’s essential to align with what brings us joy such as art, nature, and creation,” the designers say. “There is a gift within every day that we can discover gratitude for. We hope this collection reminds you not to give up before the miracle happens! You never know what might be awaiting you if you believe in the magic life always has to offer.”
