When Ines Di Santo and her daughter Veronica unveiled their Fall/Winter 2021 bridal collection on a virtual platform during New York Bridal Fashion Week in October, we instantly fell in love with their story and inspiration behind the gowns. The collection, called “Wrapped in Love,” is a personal reflection of Ines’ journey and represents some of her most important moments and memories.
During these times of uncertainty, there’s something beautifully grounding about a designer looking inwards for inspiration. Although a wedding dress may be fantasy-like and dramatic, Ines succeeds in making her designs feel familiar and approachable by connecting them back to her own life. For her Wrapped in Love 2021 bridal collection, silk organza appliques and blossoming details are used to create an ultra-feminine lineup of couture wedding gowns. These adornments and fabrics also allude to the embellishments and hand-painted details Ines would use for her daughter’s childhood dresses – a charmingly playful element that can especially be seen in the “Embrace” ballgown, and the strapless “Camelia” gown with an oversized floral gathering and side slit.
For brides who want to turn heads, the “Wondrous” gown features a plunge V-neck and a full, drop-waist skirt that mimics the brushstrokes of a watercolor painting. The “Want” dress is perfect for minimalists as it has an unembellished front, paired with an elegantly draped back for some interest. “Smitten” is another minimalistic option that can also be styled with a romantic Watteau train attached at the shoulders.
A blush colored feather bolero is a whimsical bridal accessory that can easily be paired with any dress within the Wrapped in Love collection, and brides-to-be may even opt to use it as a topper for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner ensemble. We also adore the “Heart” wedding gown in all its bridal simplicity, accented to perfection with a large cascading bow.
The F/W 2021 bridal collection by Ines Di Santo is a wonderful celebration of love and joy; and we look forward to seeing this year’s brides walking down the aisle in their Ines Di Santo wedding gown of choice.
