In an effort to bring eco-consciousness to the bridal world, Sophie Et Voila has designed a collection of sustainable wedding dresses made in Spain. With the environment facing so many manmade issues from global warming to deforestation, it’s a welcome change to see designers Sofia Arribas and Saioa Goitia taking a progressive approach to their Spring 2021 bridal collection. Using 100% recycled polyester fabrics, the two women focused on creating clean and simple silhouettes that also embody femininity and empowerment. Brides-to-be may choose from styles such as classic flowing shapes, romantic tulle, asymmetrical lines, and the most charming statement bows – all, while demonstrating how sustainable wedding dresses can be incredibly modern and luxe. Here are some of our favorite Sophie Et Voila looks.

The Statement Bow

This beautiful bow top is the perfect way to effortlessly make a statement. The asymmetrical tie is chic and updated, adding an element of interest when paired with a muted, yet romantic gauzy skirt. There’s many private estate weddings, intimate garden parties, and “micro weddings” on the horizon – this sustainable wedding dress would look lovely in any of those settings.

The Cropped Pantsuit

We love mix-and-match bridal separates. Sophie Et Voila’s bow top pairs gorgeously with a pair of high-waisted, ankle-length trousers for the latest in bridal pantsuits. With the post-quarantine world being drastically different, it’s almost poetic for brides to reevaluate the traditional approach to wedding ensembles and consider a different concept – even if it’s just for a small bridal shower or bachelorette party. Each piece can also blend well with the rest of a bride’s special occasion wardrobe, so she can continue to wear them and be a shining example of sustainable fashion.

Flowy Sustainable Wedding Dresses

Whether brides opt for short or long styles, we love how Sophie Et Voila created sustainable wedding dresses with such a luxurious flow to the fabric. The statement bow top makes a short wedding dress look extra sweet, while a minimal one-shoulder gown is elegant and regal.
