The rich, vibrant colors and golden touches found in South Asian weddings are second to none. To celebrate the culture and traditions of these celebrations, KYNAH has launched its first South Asian Bridal collection filled with luxurious gowns for weddings and special occasions.
Each piece within this glamorous capsule collection was conceptualized and lovingly handmade to represent one of the greatest milestone moments in a bride’s life. Each thread and sequin are woven together to tell a story while blending together the past and present, the traditional and modern, and the beauty of culture and heritage. Bright colors and crisp whites are showcased with traditional zari work and mermaid cuts, giving the next generation of South Asian brides a glamorous array of fashions from which to choose.
As CEO and Founder of KYNAH, Aisha Rawji is a young entrepreneur who launched her label when she noticed a gap in the U.S. bridal industry for accessible and authentic South Asian bridal collections. Armed with a degree in Business Administration from Boston University and her knowledge from fashion courses at The New School in New York City, Aisha drew inspiration from her mother and the boutique she owned when Aisha was a child and launched KYNAH in 2017. Now, having officially released her premier South Asian bridal collection, Aisha aims to redefine the antiquated, traditional South Asian bridal shopping process into a luxurious, modern experience that is highly personal and easily accessible to women in the United States.
KYNAH offers looks for every special event, from bridal showers, to weddings and beyond. Along with reimagining South Asian special occasion attire, Aisha is looking to introduce talented Indian designers to American consumers, changing the way people shop with innovative technology and exceptional customer service. She has also partnered with the nonprofit organization, Saheli Women, to financially empower women in rural Rajasthan, India by carrying their ethical and sustainable fashion on the KYNAH website. This is but one example of Aisha’s desire to serve and represent South Asian women and inspire them to pursue their dreams.
