If there’s anything more magical than a Christmas engagement, it’s a Christmas engagement in Paris. For Meghan and Kevin, their love story began in Central Park during the holidays. The two had passed each other multiple times during their Sunday walks, so Kevin decided to make the first move. A few days later, they met up and quickly fell in love. Their first kiss took place while it was snowing in NYC, so winter became a significant time of year for the couple; and it played into Kevin’s future plans to make Meghan’s dream of spending Christmas in Paris come true.

Not only did Kevin orchestrate a romantic trip to Paris during the holidays – he planned a secret proposal and an elopement with their closest family members as well. While in New York, he even worked closely with a jeweler to design a beautiful engagement ring inspired by a snowflake. Samantha Bottelier Events came onboard to help fine tune the details of the couple’s Christmas engagement in Paris, and the most difficult part was keeping everything a secret.

For Meghan, the morning of her proposal started off like a scene from a movie. Kevin left “to go Christmas shopping,” and Megan relaxed alone in the room while eating some delectable Cedric Grolet pastries. While she was enjoying the view of Paris at Le Meurice, someone knocked at the door. A room service attendant entered holding a large white box and a pair of shoes. Meghan was shocked by the surprise, which was made even more grand when a makeup artist arrived to help her get ready for two blissful hours. Finally, she made her way downstairs where Kevin was waiting for her by the hotel entrance.

The second surprise Kevin had planned was a horse-drawn carriage tour around Paris, and Rouge Wedding followed along to photograph the couple’s adventure. After visiting the iconic Eiffel Tower, the carriage stopped at a secret location where Meghan found a gorgeous floral setup. Kevin popped the question; and as soon as Meghan said “Yes,” their families popped out from behind the stairs where they were hiding.

As if a Christmas engagement in Paris wasn’t spectacular enough, Meghan was flabbergasted to discover her husband-to-be had already arranged an elopement session with an officiant, photographer, and filmmaker. He even had another dress waiting for her at the hotel – a second look for the Christmas bride.

To finish off an incredible day of love, celebrations, and reveling in the romance of Paris, a wedding reception was organized at the Salon de Pompadour at Le Meurice. Tables were beautifully set with Christmas decorations, cocktails, and flowers, and the newlyweds were beyond thrilled to have enjoyed such an unforgettable Christmas wedding experience together.
