There’s no reason why couples need to wait until their wedding day to throw a spectacular event with friends and family. While some may opt for family dinners and champagne toasts, Andrea and Mark chose to host a glamorous engagement party filled with VIP-style details from start to finish. Photographed by Ontario-based Platinum List photographer, L’Atelier Lumiere International Photographie, the energy of the evening can be felt from the pictures alone – and the beautiful bride and groom-to-be were all smiles as they showered their guests with everything from live performances to delectable desserts.
First impressions are everything, and guests received invitations featuring a pink seal. Even the couple’s arrival was one for the record books, as they traveled by helicopter and car before making their grand entrance.
One can only imagine guests’ reactions when entering the engagement party space with gorgeously styled tabletops and blush pink roses. The floral arrangements, glassware, and gold details were perfect for creating a glamorous aesthetic, while ghost chairs and white draping kept the décor clean and modern.
A cake designed by Platinum List Member, Fine Cakes by Zehra, always makes a grand statement and no glamorous engagement party would be complete without one of the designer’s sweet creations. This towering cake was brimming with details inspired by Andrea's own designed gown (the first of three gowns for the evening), including handcrafted flowers, whimsical ornamentations, and intricate textures mimicking the hand embroidered fabric.
Andrea and Mark also made some wardrobe changes throughout the evening, showcasing several stylish ensembles from their own design house, Esstiq. Their vintage yet bold styling is defined in Andrea's grand arrival jumpsuit, the grand entrance mermaid silhouette gown, and the after party midi dress which she paired beautifully with Mark's custom suits.
Live performances of the night included ballerinas, who provided another unforgettable layer to the guests’ overall experience.
The food was an event in and of itself, with a decadent menu including lobster and an array of desserts that looked equally as glamorous as the surrounding décor.
