With tonight’s award show being a notorious indicator of the upcoming Oscar winners, the “who’s who” of the film and television industry gathered once again for the 25th Annual SAG Awards. The pre-SAG Awards fashion parade was relatively more muted than that of the Golden Globes, with celebrities (for the most part) opting for streamlined shapes, classic aesthetics, and elegant fabrics. Here are some red carpet highlights of the evening.
Sandra Oh was the “Lady in Red” of the 2019 SAG Awards, wearing a sparkling one-shoulder crimson gown by Jenny Packham.
Ricky Martin brought some serious Frank Sinatra vibes to the red carpet with his dapper white tuxedo jacket.
Channeling the look of a classic Hollywood starlet, Lady Gaga made her appearance in an all-white Dior couture gown with a thigh-high slit.
Amy Adams was the portrait of a modern Solo in the Spotlight Barbie, sporting a beautiful black creation by Celine with a cinched peplum waist.
Ellen Wong’s curve-hugging gown of ombre sequins was the perfect blend of trendy and elegant.
Quite possibly the best dressed couple of the 2019 SAG Awards, Ryan Michelle Bathe and Sterling K. Brown looked gorgeous on the red carpet – Ryan, wearing a glamorous mermaid tail dress by Sebastian Gunawan.
Chadwick Boseman is a master of infusing his own style into classic award show looks.
Leave it to Emma Stone to make yet another pantsuit look incredible. Tonight, the movie star wore a Louis Vuitton ensemble featuring a single-sleeve top with a fabulously oversized bow.
Yara Shahidi was an absolute red carpet highlight of the night, dressed in a sparkling pink pantsuit with a delicate overlay by Fendi Haute Couture. From the Peter Pan collar to her gorgeous head of curls, Yara’s look was perfection.
Draped ultraviolet fabric and an asymmetrical bow detail looked stunning on actress Amanda Brugel.
