The rockstar and the supermodel got married. He was born in the Caribbean, but made his name in one of the Jersey bands. She wanted a beach wedding. So, arrangements were made to secure a tiny beach club on the Jersey shore. We set up a series of three tents. We decorated the site with palm trees. We even weathered the threat of a hurricane. The wedding ceremony was at the water's edge. The bride's gown was made by John Galliano. The groom's outfit came from Claude Montana. Tables were named for famous couples ("Rhett and Scarlett", "Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas", "Sid and Nancy", "Dr. Zhivago and Lara", etc.) Off in a corner of the tent, there was even a cigar maker, rolling cigars by hand.

The menu included a spectacular Tuscan "abbondanza" buffet for cocktails, and a dinner of roasted lobster with cucumber and chayote followed by choice of veal chop or Chilean sea bass. The bride was from Europe, so cheese and fruit were served before dessert. The evening ended with espresso, cappuccino, summer melon soup with tropical sorbets, and a wedding cake as beautiful as the bride.
