MMCrystal designs and manufactures elegant crystal jewelry using Swarovski crystal exclusively for these creations. The singular beauty, the inspired artistry and sense of style that is celebrated in the Atelier by MM collection is the product of the company's founder, Michelle Merizzi.
Ms. Merizzi has spent most of her adult life in the fashion industry. Her experience with jewelry design began over 25 years ago, with her first company manufacturing exclusive handmade free form crystal jewelry that was sold in Canada's most exclusive boutiques, Holt Renfrew, Yu Trump Tower, and as far away as Kings Road, Hong Kong.
As her acclaim grew, Michelle was chosen to design custom hairclips for Cher, jewelry for Canada's first lady, Mila Mulroney, and one-of-a-kind crystal d'or earrings for Candice Bergen, which she wore on the eve of her first Emmy win for Murphy Brown.
Michelle's career direction went on to focus on hair and makeup design, working alongside some of North America's most sought-after photographers and artistic directors for over 16 years.
Michelle's return to jewelry has come at just the right time. She noticed that the models, stylists and celebrities she worked with were interested in finding classic, sophisticated jewelry without buying fine jewels to get it. Those same stylists were thrilled when they saw her new designs, anxious to adorn their celebrity clients with them. This excitement has brought Atelier by MM to every red carpet in the world.
