FASHION | APRIL 2018 NEW YORK BRIDAL FASHION WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

Last week, the world’s top bridal designers premiered their Spring/Summer 2019 collections in New York City. New York Bridal Fashion Week is always a beautiful experience filled with couture, artistry, and inspiration. It’s never easy to narrow it down to just a handful of Bridal Fashion Week highlights, but here are a few of our favorites captured by Grace Ormonde contributors, Josh Wong and Kristi Klemens.

Ines di Santo

The Spring 2019 collection by Ines di Santo included several showstoppers, but her sky-blue Skylar gown was the perfect springtime “something blue.” Comprised of beading, silk organza, and glitter tulle, Skylar features an old-world boned corset with embellished lingerie straps, a plunging V-neck, and a frothy ballgown skirt.

We also adored the Taylor gown and veil – an exquisite creation with pleated ruffles, floral beaded tiers, and a long cathedral train.

Francesca Miranda

Wrapped waists added an ethereal Grecian feel to Francesca Miranda’s latest collection. From fuller skirts to body-skimming silhouettes, we loved the designer’s display of romantic gowns.

Alon Livne

Always bringing a cutting edge to modern and minimalistic bridal fashion, Alon Livne paired soft, immaculately tailored fabrics with oversized details – a wide-brimmed hat, a large bloom, and a single ruffled sleeve, to name a few.

J’Aton Bride

The Spring/Summer 2019 collection from J’Aton Bride brings updated versions of the brand’s signature aesthetics – uniquely layered ruffles, dramatic backs and necklines, and couture beading.

Galia Lahav

Titled “The Queen of Hearts,” Galia Lahav’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection draws inspiration from royals and nobility, and pairs it with the label’s passion for glamour. Gold accents offer an alternative to all-white and ivory styles, and textural elements add another layer of interest to intricately beaded gowns.

Naeem Khan

There was nothing dainty or demure about Naeem Khan’s Spring 2019 bridal lineup. Models donned faux hawks, accentuating the fabulously “punky” edge of the designer’s eclectic collection of bridal gowns, pantsuits, and jumpsuits. Oh, and Naeem’s glittering gold numbers were perfection.

Dany Mizrachi

Floral headpieces, glittering fabrics, and awe-inspiring embroidery – could anything be more apropos for spring? Dany Mizrachi brought the romance and rosy outlook of the season to life in his 2019 bridal fashion show.
